OAKVILLE, ON – Municipal workers employed by the Town of Oakville, members of Local 1329 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE 1329), will today hold a rally and information session beginning at 11:30 this morning.

This event will take place at the intersection of Trafalgar Road and McRaney Street, a short distance from the Town’s administrative offices.

CUPE 1329 has been attempting to bargain a renewal of their collective agreement, which expired last February. Negotiators for CUPE 1329 and the Town of Oakville are scheduled to meet tomorrow and Thursday. Today’s event is designed to inform residents about the current round of collective bargaining and educate them about the issues CUPE 1329 members are attempting to address.
