Call to action:

Sienna living is cutting hours and laying off staff at their Case Manor Community in Bobcaygeon. Workers were already having difficulty providing the quality of care the residents deserve working 75 hours per week. Management’s unilateral decision to cut the hours of work down to 60 hours means residents will get less quality care time, less recreation, and have fewer staff on hand to help them enjoy their retirement in dignity.

You can help! Send a letter to Sienna’s management demanding they reverse their cuts to workers hours and ensure the residents get the care they deserve!

Email Subject: Sienna! Stop the cuts! Restore hours of Work!

Email Body:

I’m writing to express my concern about the situation at Case Manor in Bobcaygeon. Sienna Living is a highly profitable company, yet you are cutting hours of work and therefore slashing services for your residents.

Without a full staff compliment, the quality of service enjoyed by the residents at Case Manor will deteriorate. These seniors are paying good money to enjoy a retirement with dignity. Cutting staff hours is a direct cut into the quality of care your customers deserve.

Your workers have dedicated their lives and careers to serving the residents at your facility. Cutting their hours and laying off workers without having a meaningful discussion with the union is a clear sign of disrespect for the people who ensure your business runs smoothly.

You still have time to do the right thing. Reverse these cuts, restore the layoffs, and engage the union in a meaningful negotiation.

Thank you for your time.
