2010 CUPE Ontario Convention Wraps Up in Windsor

With a new leadership team in place, a new budget in hand and the 2010 Action Plan adopted, the close to 1200 attendees at the 47th annual CUPE Ontario Convention wrapped up affairs on Saturday morning, May 29th, and began heading for home.

Fred Hahn was elected president of Canadian
Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Ontario and is the first openly gay man to be elected to lead an Ontario trade union. Candace Rennick, was elected 
Secretary-Treasurer, of Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Ontario becoming the first woman and the youngest person ever elected to the post.
