TORONTO, Ont. – The Ontario University Workers Coordinating Committee (OUWCC) has thrown their full support behind the striking faculty members at the University of Windsor.

“We feel very strongly that solidarity on campuses is very important,” said Dan Crow, co-chair of the OUWCC. “It is a problem for everyone, particularly the students, when faculty members and librarians are not able to perform their jobs.

“There will be a time when some of our members who are Teaching Assistants and Graduate Assistants may well be members of faculties across this province and it is imperative that faculty members are well treated and have fair agreements.”

Members of the OUWCC will travel to Windsor tomorrow to join the Windsor University Faculty Association (WUFA) picket lines from noon to 5 p.m. at Chrysler Hall Tower on the campus.
