GUELPH, Ont. – Negotiators for Local 1334 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE 1334) have reached a tentative agreement with the University of Guelph.

The tentative agreement follows a marathon bargaining session that went well into the evening.

Details of the new agreement are not being released until CUPE 1334 members have had an opportunity to review and vote on whether or not to accept the new agreement.

Accordingly, CUPE 1334 will not make any public comments regarding the new agreement until a ratification vote takes place later this week.

CUPE 1334 represents 235 trades people, maintenance employees, service staff, custodians, porters, athletic facility attendants, building mechanics, parking attendants, drivers and gardeners at the University of Guelph.
