TORONTO, ON – The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Ontario will be holding a press conference on Friday morning to release results of a province-wide poll and discuss their December 15 submission to the Drummond Commission.

The poll of 2000 Ontarians, conducted at the end of last week, surveyed opinions on the provincial economy, taxation, public services, the Drummond Commission and voting intentions. It includes some startling results about where the public wants to see the province’s economy steered. More significantly, it reveals a deep divide between the minority McGuinty government’s austerity agenda and the wishes not only of most Ontarians, but of Liberal voters.
