Kevin Beaith

First Air Component President of CUPE

Brother Beaith,

Airline workers have some of the most dangerous jobs in our union, and the events of this last weekend tragically demonstrate just how true this is.  Every worker expects to be able to go to work and return home at the end of their day to their family and friends.  Tragic accidents like this impact not only those close to the workers involved, but all of us in the CUPE family.  The pain this has caused is something that we all share.

On behalf of the 230,000 members of CUPE Ontario, please accept our deepest and most sincere condolences.  Please also pass along our personal thoughts and sympathy to all of your CUPE members and the family, friends and colleagues, of you all — our thoughts are with you.

If there is anything at all we can do to assist you and your members in this time of need, please never hesitate to contact us.

In Solidarity & Sorrow,

Fred Hahn                                                                             Candace Rennick

President                                                                              Secretary-Treasurer
