As front line service providers, the 230,000 CUPE members in Ontario are uniquely positioned to defend public services, not just by making sure to vote on October 25th, by getting involved in the elections right now as a volunteer helping to elect a candidate committed to public services.

In municipal campaigns even more than in provincial or federal elections, your volunteer efforts and your vote do make a difference because municipal voter turnouts are usually so low.   That’s right; one person’s vote and volunteer efforts can make the difference between winning and losing.

To help you get involved now, CUPE Ontario has prepared a range of materials that you can use.

For more information, contact Maureen Giuliani, CUPE Ontario Campaigns Coordinator at [email protected] or phone 416-299-9739 ext. 309.  Maureen will make sure that you are ready to be a protector of public services in your local community!
