NORTH BAY, Ont. The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) has negotiated a tentative agreement on behalf of Aramark food service staff at Canadore College/Nipissing University, Commerce Court and secondary schools throughout the Near North District School Board.
We are happy we were able to negotiate a tentative deal with Aramark, said Monique Drapeau, CUPE national representative. Our executive will be recommending this agreement to members in a ratification vote to be held at the CUPE North Bay Office on August 30, at 6 p.m. Details of the agreement will not be released until it has been presented to CUPE members at the ratification meeting.
The workers’ last contract expired December 31, 2006.
