THUNDER BAY, ON – Members of Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 87, who work for the City of Thunder Bay, have voted to accept their employer’s last offer in recent negotiations. This will conclude negotiations for the approximately 700 inside and outside municipal workers, whose last contract expired nearly two years ago.

“This was not an easy round of bargaining,” said Karen Martin, president of Local 87. “It’s fair to say our members found it very frustrating and far too prolonged. We look forward to continuing to provide high quality public services in the City of Thunder Bay.”
