CUPE university workers in Ontario stand in solidarity with Unite HERE Local 75 food service workers at York University and University of Toronto Scarborough in their effort for decent wages and working conditions.
CUPE’s Ontario University Workers Coordinating Committee (OUWCC) encourages all workers and students on these campuses to support Aramark food service workers by recognizing and joining picket lines on Thursday, February 2 from 8am to 6pm at the Central Square at York University.
The Cross-Campus Alliance at York University, which includes CUPE locals, will be providing free coffee throughout the day.
The OUWCC also encourages all members to visit www.york15.ca to let York University President Shoukri know you support the food service workers’ bargaining demands.
